Jee Le Zaraa, the highly anticipated film co-written by Zoya Akhtar and Reema Kagti, and directed by Farhan Akhtar, has become one of the most eagerly awaited movies in recent years since it was announced in 2021. However, there have been no significant updates since then, and various reports have emerged indicating delays due to cast changes.
Recently, in an interview with a leading American entertainment portal, Farhan discussed the upcoming film starring Priyanka Chopra, Katrina Kaif, and Alia Bhatt, revealing that scheduling conflicts have caused some issues. He said, "We just have issues with dates, and the actor’s strike that’s happened has put Priyanka’s dates into a huge tizzy with what can happen and what can’t, so I’ve started genuinely believing that that film now has a destiny of its own. It’ll happen when it has to, we’ll see."
Earlier in an interview with a leading news portal, Reema Kagti falsified the rumours regarding the change of the cast and said, "Jee Le Zaraa will go on floors with the same cast."
Jee Le Zaraa will be Farhan's directorial comeback after 2011's Don 2. However, with the filmmaker now working on Don 3 starring Ranveer Singh, it appears that Jee Le Zaraa may be put on the back burner.
