Trailer Review: Pati Patni Aur Woh

August 2024 · 2 minute read

After a lot of wait for this remake, the trailer of Kartik Aaryan, Bhumi Pednekar and Ananya Panday’s Pati Patni aur Woh has finally released today. Directer by Mudassar Aziz, the film is a remake of the 1978 comedy of the same name and takes you into the life of Chintu Tyagi’s life and how a girl turns it upside down.

Chintu is a common man married to Vedika, played by Bhumi. The two seem to be having a simple life before havoc breaks in the married man’s life with Tapasyaa, played by Ananya. She’s a young modern girl and becomes the centre of Chintu’s love life, making a story a complete comedy of errors. What follows, according to the trailer is the age old cat and mouse chase of a married man by his wife and mistress.

Pati Patni Aur Woh

The trailer has some funny one liners and will make you chuckle but it does not give you a proper insight into any character except Kartik Aaryan’s. We see Bhumi look and talk like she did in Toilet: Ek Prem Katha but don’t have enough information on what her character is like. Ananya is trying her hand at something new and going by the trailer, she seems to be fitting well in her role. The film also has Aparshakti Khurrana who can now be called Bollywood’s official best friend with the bad ideas.

Pati Patni Aur Woh

Overall, Pati Patni aur Woh screams potential and will surely make you laugh with it’s R-rated jokes and some good acting.
