The company was founded as 7th Level, Inc. in 1993 and was based in Dallas, Texas. Initially they focused on the development and publishing of interactive entertainment, but on 17th November 1997 the company merged with Pulse Entertainment, Inc. after the announcement in August, to form P7 Solutions. This made the company leave the game industry to become a supplier of custom solutions and services, tools and technology.

The company also had the internal division Kids' World Entertainment working on education titles between 1993 and 1997.

Several employees came back together to found Red Fly Studio in 2006.
