Kellogg officer intercepts half a pound of methamphetamine during routine traffic stop

According to the Shoshone County Sheriff's Office, a Kellogg police officer conducted a routine traffic stop and observed possible signs of criminal activity occurring last week.

A Shoshone County K9 Deputy ran his K9 around the vehicle, and the dog was alerted to a controlled substance. During the search, the Kellogg police officer located over a half pound of methamphetamine.

The Kellogg Police Department prevented it from being distributed to their community, and the individual was charged with trafficking methamphetamine.
