While the cloud of controversy is gradually moving away from Padmavati, with the CBFC giving it a U/A certificate with a few modifications, new details are surfacing about the film. We already know that the film unfolds around Queen Padmini played my Deepika Padukone, who is married to King Rawal Ratan Singh. Allaudin Khilji, essayed by Ranveer Singh is the antagonist.

The trailer of the film have the audiences an indication of the grandeur to expect from Sanjay Leela Bhansali's magnum opus project. The excitement doubled when Ghoomar, a beautifully shot song with Deepika Padukone performing the traditional Rajput folk dance released. Anupriya Goenka, the actress who played a nurse in Tiger Zinda Hai will be playing Raja Rawal Ratan Singh first wife Rani Nagmati. She sure is starting out as part of some of the most watched out for films of the recent times.

Her character, similar to Priyanka Chopra's character in BajiRao Mastani, is jealous of Padmini but eventually joins in with her when the kingdom is attacked to perform johar.

With so much going on, we sure can't wait to watch the film and soak in the granduer of the masterpiece.
