Rohit Shetty is know for building massive franchises around most of his films. Few of his biggest successes recently have come from either the Golmaal series or from films that he is making in his interconnected cop universe. The director is currently working on Sooryavanshi with Akshay Kumar which will have special appearances by Ajay Devgn and Ranveer Singh. 

Confirming his next project, the filmmaker announced that he will take a break from his cop films and direct another instalment of the Golmaal franchise. The last release, Golmaan Again was a big hit and garnered over Rs 200 crores as the box office. Confirming the news, Ajay Devgn said, “Rohit and I are committed to the next instalment of Golmaal because like, we said during one of our earlier films, it’s fun unlimited, and my favourite series.” Arshad Warsi, Sheryas Talpade, Kanal Kemmu and Tusshar Kapoor will also reprise their roles in the film while the female lead is year to be finalised. 

For now, Ajay Devgn is going to start promoting his next film Tanhaji The Unsung Warrior that releases in January next year and Rohit Shetty is looking to wrap up Sooryavashi which is set to release in March 2020.
