Much like the Room of Requirement, the Chamber of Secrets is an iconic location in Hogwarts Legacy, hidden within the walls of the Castle. It is said to hold a powerful and dangerous monster known as a basilisk, buried away from the world for centuries by Salazar Slytherin. In the Harry Potter films, the Chamber of Secrets plays a significant role after Harry uncovers and destroys one of Lord Voldemort's many Horcruxes.

So whether you're a fan of the Harry Potter universe or enjoy a good mystery, this guide will provide all the information you need to find and unlock the Chamber of Secrets in Howarts Legacy.

REMINDER - Hogwarts Legacy was due to launch on PS4 and Xbox One on April 4, but now won't release until 5 May 2023.

Where Is The Chamber Of Secrets In Hogwarts Legacy?

Interestingly, while many Harry Potter fans know about the Chamber of Secrets, not many know its exact location. According to the books, the Chamber is hidden beneath the Castle, with the entrance located in the second-floor girls' bathroom (home to Moaning Myrtle). However, in Hogwarts Legacy, you can use the Lower Grand Staircase Floo Flame to reach the entrance quickly.

Upon arrival, turn right and walk down the hallway until it curves to the left. Then, turn right again. You will see two doors, one leading to the boys' bathroom and the other to the girls' bathroom. The entrance to the Chamber of Secrets can be found at the sink in the girls' bathroom. It's important to note that Moaning Myrtle's ghost won't be in the bathroom as she has not been killed yet.

Can You Enter The Chamber Of Secrets In Hogwarts Legacy?

Unfortunately, it is not yet possible to enter the Chamber of Secrets in Hogwarts Legacy. Despite this, you can use the Revelio charm at the sink to examine the entrance. You will see a snake carved into one of the faucets, a reference to the Chamber of Secrets from the Harry Potter books and films. Accordingly, only a true heir of Slytherin can open the Chamber of Secrets, and they must do so by speaking a certain phrase in the language of snakes, known as Parseltongue.

On that note, you might like to know if it is possible to learn how to speak Parseltongue in Hogwarts Legacy in another guide (I also included some interesting details about one of the characters, Ominis Gaunt -- it's worth a read, I promise!). So while you can't enter the Chamber of Secrets in Hogwarts Legacy right now, future DLCs or expansions may allow players to explore the Chamber and perform special quests. It must be emphasized that this is purely speculative, and there is no official confirmation from the developers or publisher at this time.
