ORIGIN
ZillaKami is an American rapper and member of the hip hop group City Morgue (with SosMula and Thraxx). They’re best known for songs like “Shinners 13”, “33rd Blakk Glass” and “Drop Dead.” The group’s debut mixtape, Hell Or High Water, dropped in 2018. ZillaKami worked with Tekashi 6ix9ine prior to their 2017 falling out. His older brother, RighteousP, is the CEO of the Hikari-Ultra label. ZillaKami was born Junius Rogers on September 20, 1999, in Long Island, New York. He grew up in Bay Shore where he played football. He attended Bay Shore Senior High School.

CAREER
ZillaKami and RighteousP started out working with Tekashi 6ix9ine. They served as ghostwriters and producers on some of his early tracks. They achieved success with songs like “Hellsing Station” and “Yokai.” Both songs have been played millions of times across SoundCloud and YouTube. In 2017, Zilla had a falling out with 6ix9ine. He reportedly stole money from the group. Following their breakup, Zilla hit back by exposing legal charges against 6ix9ine.

The hip-hop group ‘City Morgue’ was formed in 2016 in New York City. It consists of rappers ZillaKami and SosMula, and producer Thraxx. City Morgue created an early buzz with songs like “Yukk Mouth”, “Wardog Anthem” and “SkateWitch.” Their hit single “Shinners 13” was released in June 2017. It racked up 3.5+ spins on SoundCloud and 4+ million views on YouTube. They followed up with songs like “Drop Dead”, “33rd Blakk Glass”, “Sk8 Head” and “Gang Green.” Their 3-tracked EP, Be Patient, was released in August 2018. It featured production from Ghosta, Nitetime, and Mitsumodoe. ZillaKami appeared on Adam22‘s No Jumper podcast in July 2018. He was accompanied by RighteousP and SosMula.

City Morgue’s debut mixtape, Hell Or High Water Vol. 1, was released in October 2018. The tape will be supported by the ‘Hell Or High Water Tour” which is scheduled to kick off on November 15, 2018. It will include stops in the US, the UK, Russia, and Germany to name a few. Since his debut, ZillaKami has collaborated with acts like ScumBagChad, Cameronazi, ITSOKTOCRY and Lil Gnar. He was featured on the single “Vengeance” from Denzel Curry‘s album TTA13OO (2018).
