Dead By Daylight Chapter 29: Alien - Killer, Power, And Perks

The Dead by Daylight Chapter 29: Alien killer is the Alien from the Alien franchise, also known as the Xenomorph. The Xenomorph has its own power, Hidden Pursuit, and three unique perks. Check them out below:

DBD Alien Killer Power

Hidden Pursuit

A series of tunnels become available on the map when the Xenomorph is in play. By accessing a Control Station, it can enter these tunnels to quickly move around the map, detect the presence of nearby Survivors, and speed up the cooldown time of its Runner Mode ability. Exiting a Control Station tags nearby Survivors with Killer Instinct.

Special Ability: Runner Mode

The Xenomorph enters Runner Mode automatically when not on cooldown. In Runner Mode, the Xenomorph walks on four legs and becomes stealthier, reducing its Terror Radius. While in Runner Mode the Xenomorph also has access to a brutal Tail Attack.

Map Feature: Control Stations

Seven Control Stations are scattered across the map. Survivors can interact with these stations to get a Remote Flame Turret, while the Xenomorph can enter and exit the tunnels underneath the Control Stations.

Special Item: Remote Flame Turret

Turrets can be placed in the map to counteract the Xenomorph. When the Xenomorph enters the radius and line of sight of a Turret, the Turret attacks; this attack staggers the Xenomorph and will cause Runner Mode to end. If a Turret successfully knocks the Xenomorph out of Runner Mode or fires for too long, it overheats, and must be repaired by a Survivor. The Xenomorph can attack Turrets to destroy them.

The Xenomorph also comes with its own terrifying Mori animation, which you can check out below:

Just as Wesker (The Mastermind) has special Mori animations for Chris Redfield, his nemesis, The Xenomorph gets a special Mori animation for Ellen Ripley, the chapter's new survivor. It's great to see Dead By Daylight's devs honoring the sources of licensed chapters, and delving into their lore and character interactions.

Chapter 29 Predictions

Note -All information below this point has not been updated for the Alien chapter.

With the next Dead by Daylight chapter being a licensed one, there are a lot of possibilities for what it could be. One of those possibilities is that it could be a Five Nights at Freddy's chapter, featuring characters like Springtrap or Freddy Fazbear. This seems especially plausible since Dead by Daylight's upcoming movie will be produced by Blumhouse, the studio behind the Five Nights At Freddy's movie. Therefore, Behaviour Interactive and Blumhouse could definitely be in talks about a crossover between these two franchises. Perhaps we could even get a map of Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria, complete with a stage.

It's also possible that the next Dead by Daylight chapter could be an Until Dawn chapter. Supermassive Games, the studio behind Until Dawn, is developing a Dead by Daylight spinoff game; with that in mind, it's very possible that Behaviour Interactive and Supermassive Games could also be in talks about adding some Until Dawn content to the 4v1 asymmetrical title. There is a range of playable characters in Until Dawn, giving developers plenty to work with; the killer, of course, would be The Wendigo, one of the terrifying Wendigos from the game that terrorize the player.

For now, that's all we know about Dead by Daylight Chapter 29 based on what we've heard from Behaviour Interactive and from data miners' leaks. As more information is revealed and as the chapter's release date nears, we'll update this article accordingly.
