GARDEN CITY, idaho — Tuesday, May 16th, 2023: Arrests made

Garden City Police have arrested three Boise men in connection to the shooting at Westy's Bowling Alley.

The investigation revealed that the primary shooter was Kalehe Byringiro, 20 years old, of Boise. The other two arrested were Isiak Hatwibu, 21 years old, and Sefu Idi, 23 years old, both from Boise.

Saturday, May 13th, 2023: Shooting at Westy's Bowling Alley

On Saturday around 11:32 p.m., Garden City Police received a call of a reported shooting at Westy's Garden Lanes on Alworth Street in Garden City.

When Police arrived, they found a 17- year-old woman with non-life-threatening injuries from gunshots. She was transported to the hospital by ambulance.

Officers interviewed several of the witnesses at the scene who said there was an altercation involving several people in the parking lot. One person pulled out a handgun and started firing, another person pulled out a gun and began shooting. The woman was hit by gunfire.

One suspect fled the scene before officers arrived. The suspect officers were looking for was said to be an African American male with dreads. They asked the public to contact Garden City Police Department at 208-472-2950.
