Wizards of the Coast (WotC) has released its weekly update article for MTG Arena, highlighting the upcoming streamer event for Wilds of Eldraine, future events, and more.

Wilds Of Eldraine Steamer Event Starts Thursday

Select Magic: The Gathering streamers will give viewers a first look at Wilds of Eldraine on MTG Arena on Thursday and Friday. Streamers will be showing off limited and constructed formats with Wilds of Eldraine and offer set reviews. The event kicks off at 10 AM PT on Thursday.

Wilds Of Eldraine Bundle Preorders On Sale Now

As usual with a new Standard set coming to MTG Arena, players can preorder one of three bundles in anticipation of Wilds of Eldraine. The bundles vary from a Pack Bundle, Play Bundle, and the Mastery Pass Bundle. The contents include:

Players will get all the contents when Wilds of Eldraine comes to MTG Arena on September 5.

Earn XP From Playing In-Person

Starting in September, players can earn MTG Arena Mastery Pass XP for playing at WPN stores. Players can get 1,000 XP for playing in-store events like the Wilds of Eldraine prerelease, FNM, Open House events, and more. Earn up to 4,000 XP each month. Players must have an active MTG Arena account that uses the same email address as the Wizards account they use to register in the sanctioned WPN event. The XP will be delivered via the MTG Arena inbox periodically throughout the month.

Upcoming Format Rotation And Renewal Rewards

While Standard is not going to rotate any sets this year after the announcement earlier this year that the format would only rotate every three years, Alchemy will have a rotation. With the release of Wilds of Eldraine on September 8, Alchemy will lose four Standard sets and four Alchemy-only expansions.

Renewal rewards will still be awarded to players with the Renewal Egg that will appear in the MTG Arena client soon. The Renewal Egg will show how much time remains for set rotation for Alchemy. It will also contain awards for players, which in the past have been packs and Individual Card Rewards (ICRs) from sets still legal in Standard.
